The standard way is to tell gnuplot what, where and in what size we want to plot, as in set multiplot set size 0.5, 1 set origin 0,0 plot sin (x) set origin 0.5, 0 plot cos (x) unset multiplot The problem here is that when gnuplot determines how big the actual plot is going to be, it counts the borders, axis label, tics and so on in the size. 6/1/2023 0 Comments Northgate omnikeyBoth protocols transmit a keystroke using a serial data transfer of 9 bits, but IBM has a start bit and Tandy has a stop bit. While the Tandy 1000 and IBM XT keyboard protocols are very similar, they are not the same. The computer type is set by a bank of dipswitches on the keyboard. Northgate indicated that its keyboard was compatible with the Tandy 1000 SX and Tandy 1000 TX computers. The Omnikeys support XT and AT keyboards and even some more exotic machines like the AT&T 6300, the Amstrad computers like the PC-1512 and even the Amiga 2000 & 2500 computers. I have long known that the Northgate Omnikey line of keyboards supported the Tandy 1000s. IBM avoided this issue by assigning the function to Ctrl+Print Screen. Press this key twice and, unless you have a printer attached to your computer, your computer will freeze as it vainly tries to print what you are typing on the screen. However, the really evil key is the Print key. People who do not know or forget how the Hold key works may think their computer has crashed. Both keys are next to important keys like Enter, Alt and Num Lock, The Hold key acts like a true Pause key, everything is frozen until you hit the Hold key again. While it does have F11 and F12, software made during the Tandy 1000 (except by Tandy) lifespan rarely used these keys.įinally, the Tandy 1000 has the dreaded Hold and Print keys. There is no Scroll Lock, and while there is a separate Home key, there is no separate End, Page Up, Page Down, +, -, or * keys. Typing mistakes are frequent with this keyboard. Compared to the IBM PC or IBM PC AT keyboard, it feels cheap. Its layout is cramped and awkward, its keys are mushy and there is no tactile feedback. The 90-key Tandy 1000 keyboard is not exactly a pleasure to use. And finally, the Tandy 1000 keyboard is the same keyboard used in Tandy's MS-DOS (but not IBM PC) compatible Tandy 2000. The Tandy 1000 joystick ports came straight from the Tandy Color Computer. The Tandy 1000 card edge printer port can be traced back to the TRS-80. To save development costs, Tandy imported some of its designs from prior, non-IBM PC compatible computers. The Tandy 1000 computers, more specifically the early Tandy 1000s, had many good features, graphics, sound, expansion, performance, integrated peripherals. 6/1/2023 0 Comments Mac texshop generateYou can download MacTeX directly here (direct download link – the file is approximately 2.1 GB in size) or via the Torrent network. There are quite a few TeX distributions out there that work with OS X, but my personal recommendation would be MacTeX, which is specifically written for the Mac and supports pretty much all OS X versions (including Mountain Lion). In order to be able to write TeX documents on your Mac, you'll first need to download and install a distribution, which renders your documents. If anyone has had to write a long formula in, say, the Equation Editor of Microsoft Word, then they will know how fiddly it is.īefore we get started with our first TeX document, there are a couple of things you need to install on your Mac first. TeX is used heavily in the academic and scientific world, mostly due to the standardized layout and look of documents (though this can be changed), as well as the fact that TeX renders mathematical formulas extremely well (one of its fortes). His aim with TeX was to create a system so that documents would look the same across all computers and that the look of the documents wouldn't diminish with time. Basically, it is a typesetting language that was designed and developed (mostly) by Donald Knuth, a professor at Stanford University, back in the 1970s. I think it would be prudent to first give you a brief introduction of TeX and why it's so popular within certain circles. This may sound a bit scary, but TeX is a lot simpler to learn than other programming languages and once you've used it for a while you'll soon pick it up really easy. With TeX, you have to learn the various commands before you can start creating documents. It's not as simple as just opening up a word processor such as Pages or Microsoft Word and tapping away. What scares people away from TeX is its learning curve. This tutorial will show you the basics of TeX – how it works and how you can create a nice, simple document with very little effort. TeX is a wonderful and very versatile typesetting system that can be used to write almost anything – from reports to letters and even more complicated documents such as books and posters. 6/1/2023 0 Comments Spike growth 5eIn summary, we systemically demonstrated that FgTem1 and its GAP FgBub2-FgBfa1 complex are required for fungal development and pathogenicity in F. Double deletion of FgBUB2/FgBFA1 genes showed that FgBUB2 and FgBFA1 have little functional redundancy in F. Deletion of FgBUB2 and FgBFA1 genes caused fewer perithecia and immature asci formations, and dramatically down-regulated trichothecene biosynthesis (TRI) gene expressions. We further demonstrated that a direct interaction exists between FgBub2 and FgBfa1 which crucially promotes conidiation, pathogenicity and DON production, and negatively regulates septum formation and nuclear division in F. The cell cycle arrest protein FgBub2-FgBfa1 complex was shown to act as the GTPase-activating protein (GAP) for FgTem1. The septins FgCdc10 and FgCdc11 were demonstrated to interact with the dominant negative form of FgTem1, and FgCdc11 was found to regulate the localization of FgTem1. Furthermore, the regulatory mechanisms of FgTem1 have been further investigated by high-throughput co-immunoprecipitation and genetic strategies. FgTem1 localizes to both the inner nuclear periphery and the spindle pole bodies, and negatively regulates mitotic exit in F. graminearum pathogenicity and functions in regulating the formation of infection structures and invasive hyphal growth on wheat spikelets and wheat coleoptiles, but plays only little roles in vegetative growth and conidiation of the phytopathogen. In this study, we found that a small GTPase FgTem1 plays an important role in F. graminearum infects wheat spikelets and colonizes the entire head by growing through the rachis node at the bottom of each spikelet. The mitotic exit is a key step in cell cycle, but the mechanism of mitotic exit network in the wheat head blight fungus Fusarium graminearum remains unclear. 6/1/2023 0 Comments Peppermint vs mintIn addition, to always harvest quality leaves, the Moroccan mint plant should be renewed approximately every 3 years. Peppermint flowers are white or pink inflorescences that can be seen in summer. If you only want to keep your Moroccan mint plant, you should prune below the flowers in late summer. To have two harvests a year, it is possible to prune the plant severely, cutting it back to the ground, in late spring or early summer. However, if you want to keep your plant for a few years, the soil should remain fairly moist. The substrate does not need to be very rich in organic matter, as mint is adapted to growing in relatively poor soil.Īs Moroccan mint is adapted to a dry climate, watering can be sparse. Whichever method you choose, after a few days you can transplant your mint plant into a pot or outside if the weather permits.Īlthough hardy, Moroccan mint should be planted in early spring to prevent it from freezing. If you have a large mint plant, it is also possible to divide the bush. by taking a branch about 10 cm long and placing it in a container filled with water.by taking a branch with 3 nodes and placing it in a container filled with soil.Peppermint, like its counterparts, is easily propagated by head or stem cuttings: Peppermint has a stronger flavour than spearmint because it has a higher amount of menthol (the essential oil characteristic of mint), as mint varieties have menthol-producing and storing glands in their leaves for defence, and when the leaves are rubbed, the stressed plant releases the menthol and emits a characteristically strong odour. Like the other varieties of mint, spearmint has rhizomes (underground stems) and tracer roots (roots that grow horizontally from the main root) In addition, spearmint has a stronger flavour than mentha spicata and its leaves have more relief than spearmint. Widely used in North Africa and the Middle East, spearmint is adapted to drier climates than spearmint. The nomenclature of Moroccan mint is Mentha spicata 'nanah'. Moroccan mint is a variety of the classic spearmint, mentha spicata. Peppermint has the particularity of being much more aromatic and easier to grow. Difference between mint and peppermint Peppermint, or Mentha spicata 'nanah', is a variety of mint spicata (the most common spearmint) used mainly in North Africa for making drinks. 6/1/2023 0 Comments Zoolz home cloudAdditionally, we explore non-coupon deals and other strategies to help you save money on, even if there are no valid coupons currently available.
